    Light the Darkness

Kingsway is proud to partner with WIN House (Women In Need), in recognition of International Women’s Day.

From March 5 to March 27, experience an interactive, educational art installation of a home facade with a powerful narrative. The display is located on the main level near Entrance 8.

Designed by award-winning local designer Tessa Stamp, the installation features a series of rooms that stand as a visual representation of real stories shared by women at WIN House. Each room, meticulously designed at scale, illustrate true stories of gender-based violence that WIN House has encountered. These rooms serve as poignant reflections of the resilience and strength of those who have sought refuge at WIN House, as well as raising awareness for the different scenarios.

This immersive experience invites everyone to be part of the WIN House mission and help illuminate the path toward safety and hope for those affected by violence.

For full details, please visit WIN House’s website.

How to Interact with the House:

Step One: Stand inside the headphones.

Step Two: Press the big button.

Step Three: Watch the house light up and hear a real story of gender-based violence.

    About Tessa Stamp

Born and raised in Edmonton, Tessa Stamp is a multi-disciplinary artist who has made a career making big ideas come to life.

A dancer first, Tessa has made her career in technical theatre.  This global industry took her out to sea for 6 years and allowed her to run away with the circus.  The last 15 years have been spent back in Edmonton where she has become an award-winning designer and builder in and out of the theatre, as well as an entrepreneur and mother, continuing to bring big ideas to life.
