Rooftop Garden
For the second year in a row, Kingsway has installed a garden on the rooftop in support of Edmonton’s Food Bank.
The garden has grown in 2024, featuring 54 planters. It is tended to by gardeners from MicroHabitat as well as staff of Kingsway in conjunction with retailer Glass Earth Inc. The planters of produce are targeted to produce 300 pounds of food. 100% of the produce harvested will be donated to Edmonton’s Food Bank to help combat food insecurity within the Edmonton community. Each month, Edmonton’s Food Bank supports more than 30,000 people and distributes nearly six million kilograms of food annually. In partnership with Steve’s Bees, Kingsway is proud to welcome a hive of bees to the rooftop, for the first time ever, to support pollination of the garden and produce honey.
Please note there is no public access to the Rooftop Garden.
